It looked so promising in the beginning. Religious horror movies can be great. "Hellhole" was a recent example of a great one that is truly underrated. This is not an exorcist type which like zombie movies are worn out. Lots of atmosphere here but the story just doesn't come together or provide enough. Yes, it's beautifully shot, although it's visually very dark and seems to be shot mostly at night. This is rather annoying. It is violent too at times. Perhaps they just need better scripts in order to make it work better. Overall, it was disappointing. You never know what you're going to get with this genre.
