A romcom misfire
22 December 2023
I hear that the book this is based on is actually good; regretfully, I just can't say the same about the movie. The cringe-worthy acting in "One True Loves" is hard to overlook, with awkward performances that leave you questioning the casting choices. The lack of chemistry between the leads further compounds the film's struggles, making it feel more like an uncomfortable on-screen pairing than a believable love story.

It's reminiscent of a poorly executed Hallmark film, lacking the charm and genuine connection that successful romantic comedies thrive on. Despite the potential from its source material, "One True Loves" falls short, leaving you wishing for a more captivating adaptation that captures the essence of the original story.
