This is nowhere the hilarious comedy critics and reviews here may want you to believe, This is a true cautionary tale about letting pride get in the way of life, and making abrupt decisions without letting the ones that love you know of such drastic changes, and all their lives turned upside down with irreversible damage.
Mercifully the film is barely 90 minutes long so it is breezy enough to keep you from wanting to strangle both main characters for their lack of responsibility towards one another.
Definitely overrated in my opinion, with Defending your Life, Mother and The Muse far superior directing works by Brooks, definitely funnier and more involving.
