Amanda & the Alien (1995 TV Movie)
6/10
Silly bizarre adult alien movie

Based on the title and cover art for this film, most people would assume it's a family film aimed towards children. However it is an R rated film and contains several brief but explicit scenes showing skin and a few uses of strong language.

It's a film clearly not meant to be taken serious and it works to pass time if watching as such. Nicole Eggert does a serviceable job as the no nonsense courageous Amanda.

Very bizarre film watching seeing this alien blob like creature transform into these human bodies and seeing Amanda and the human life form connect.

There were several questions never fully answered. Such as, how did Amanda initially recognize the alien at first (she was Connie in the shop)? Why wasn't Amanda more cautious towards the alien? She instantly wanted to help but what was her reason exactly? Why was the alien hot for paprika and cinnamon? Why didn't the alien eat her?

Even with its flaws, there is a sort of an enjoyment to be had seeing Amanda and the alien. Not much depth to be had but it's silly and fun. For a lesser relatively unknown film it's decent. Features a predictable but happy enough ending.
