When I first heard of this movie, I saw many people criticizing it and calling it bad. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and watched it. It is honestly a good watch. The plot is interesting, burl Ives, terry Thomas, and Lionel Jeffries played their roles very well, and every now then you'll laugh, although some of the jokes weren't that funny. My complaints are the slow pacing of this movie, and in my opinion, they could've shaved 20 minutes off of this 2 hour long film, because a good portion of it is useless to the plot and some scenes drag on. Also, Troy Donahue's performance in the film was pretty bad. He clearly sounded very bored uninterested in the film. I still recommend that you watch it.
