Awful. Everything is awful. The script is ultra basic, flat, empty, predictable and even ridiculous. The performances are very amateurish except for a couple of adult actors. The character design is terrible, shallow and purposeless. The creature is super ugly when it should be endearing and the laws of physics don't apply correctly to the little monster. The production design is the most austere thing that exists, in the bad sense of the word.
This movie has everything to be one of the worst of the year, and it's unfortunate, because a beautiful facet of Mexican culture is involved, along with the Luchadores.
Definitely a huge misstep for Netflix.
