Redbad (2018)
7/10
Not as bad as some reviews would have you believe 7/10

Warning: Spoilers
Ok so a lot bemoaning the historical accuracy of this movie, and the costumes of that period, so lets just start by saying the "real" Redbad according to some historical records died in 719, so this movie stating it is set in 754 is the first giveaway...

Overall not withstanding my comments I actually enjoyed this movie, the sets' the direction and the cinematography was very good right from the opening credits the music score draws the viewer in, maybe it was just me, as I have a bit of a penchant for Viking stuff in general.

And as I've stated I was really enjoying this movie right up till about 10 minutes from the end when the director decided the lead needed to do a Mel Gibson (Brave Heart) and shout freedom, while parading in front of the assembled troops, and for that reason I gave it 7/10.
