It's an edgy and confident play by the director Kowalski. Unexpectedly good. It doesn't follow the general norms and it's not predictable.
Sometimes it has irrelevant objects like a wandering eye looking around on the floor or, bodies with missing extremities, flies hatching out of a molar, and such. Also what about that terrible-smelling gory-looking soup? They all add to the climax of the mysterious monastery.
All members of the monastery look rancid, toe-nail-eating, Drury, slapped-faced, overweight ogres representing the epitome of evil.
I would suggest for readers avoid reading spoilers. It spoils the experience of watching :-)
