Do Revenge (2022)
6/10
Kind of Refreshing (ish)

Within the past several years, Netflix original movies have somewhat missed the entertainment mark and have solely catered to political click bait.

Although "Do Revenge" has a hint of this - it's a breath of fresh air compared to its predecessor political Netflix movie siblings.

Storyline: The film begins as your average teen drama. However, there is a plot twist that isn't revealed or hinted at that elevates the movie above your typical high school film.

Cast: Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke provide entertaining performances of their high school characters. I was pleasantly shocked to see Sophie Turner in this film and in such a minor role. We also must note the "passing of the torch" from Sarah Michelle Gellar (90's teenage drama OG) to the newbies.

Overall: With only a few specs of political, "Americanized" first world problems - the film is worth the watch.

I applaud Jennifer Kaytin Robinson for writing a film that allows us (and today's youth) to take a break from today's problems rather than spotlighting them as we seem to get a healthy portion of that without it being in films.
