Saw this many years ago and decided to rewatch here recently. Originally, I found this to be a beautiful whimsical love story. Who wouldn't want a connection like this? It's now kinda odd to watch with an updated lens and find no black woman in this sea of diversity. Diversity always seems to mean "with exceptions." I'm not lowering my rating. Still top notch. It's just the older I get, the more I realize my perception has been shaped by a certain view for decades and it's hard to unsee.
