Created by Takashi Okazaki, Afro Samurai is a hyperviolent, extremely bloody, anime action brawler following the titular Afro Samurai (Samuel Jackson) as he seeks to revenge his father and gain the title of the number 1. With the voice talents of Phil LaMarr, John Dimaggio, Ron Perlman, and others, and the music talents of RZA, if you're not already on board then maybe this isn't the series for you. But if any of this interests you then I would recommend it, its a fairly good version of its form and is quite short at only 5 episodes. It's fairly ridiculous and over-the-top, and unfortunately gets a bit predictable, but the animation is really fun and the action is quite cool. Definitely not for everyone but I'm guessing a favourite for many.
