Oscar Isaac is a great actor and Paul Schrader is a decent director who's made a few movies i enjoyed. He also wrote Taxi Driver which is one of the best movies ever made.
So i was expecting this to be pretty good considering i read it was meant to be a revenge thriller.
Sadly though the movie is very slow and not much exciting happens. Oscar Isaac does a good job, he's intense as hell and i want to know more about his character.
The movie never manages to get out of first gear, there's a cool setup here for a gritty, realistic thriller but it never happened.
