Van Damme plays Alain Moreau, a French police detective who finds his twin brother has been murdered. He soon discovers his brother was involved with the Russian mob in New York so he impersonates him to find out why he was killed.
This is Van Damme in his prime with exciting action including some great car chases, convincing hand to hand combat and glorious blood squibs. Hong Kong director Ringo Lam makes excellent over the top action movies and he does a fine job here.
