Why shouldn't I listen to the naysayers?
11 October 2021
Nothing says desperate studio like a bunch of 9 and 10 star reviews talking about not listening to the naysayers. All of them read like astro turf from studio secretaries and PA's using a list of talking points to write bs reviews for this mess of a show.

So there's this bunch of good looking kids and they find out that they have special powers. But wait, there's a secret war going on between good super power kids and bad super power old people. Something like that, I gave up after a few episodes.

Its pretty much just a steampunk X-men rip off. EXcept poorly done and so very formulaic. Its been cast by some sort of commitee that watches Twitter for whatever the troglodytes on twitter say is cool and not offensive. So of course 18th century London is populated by every race in the book and women run everything eXcept for the men who run things, who are all white and psychotic. And of course they're all young and none of them seem to have parents who are ever around. I swear to god, this formula is sooo tired and sooo overused, you'd have to be a half witted Hollywood eXcutive to have ever green lit it in the first place. There are literally a million other shows just like this right now. Just because they're set in different times and places doesn't mean its not totally the same deal.
