One of my favorites, but frustratingly disappointing

Warning: Spoilers
Really Yu Yu Hakusho is definitely one of my favorite animes of all time. Primarily due to the characters and the cool haunting or badass villains. What however made it so dissapointing to me were not so much the deus ex machina nakama power ups, but more so the fact that without any foreshadowing, critical points in the story turn upside down with really moronic explanations like Yusuke becoming a demon ex nihilo (out of nothing), without ANY AT ALL hints about him ever having anything related to demons prior to that one episodes where he gets killed by Sensui.

Why did that happen?

Because the author's lazy- I mean backpain caused him instead of writting a deep story spanning after Yusuke's death of how the characters struggle to survive against the all powerful Sensui he wrote how all of a sudden Yusuke had a great great great grandpa ancient demon who (all of a sudden with no explanation of foreshadowing) who magically after millenia transfered him demonic genes so that in that particular episode we would know that YUSUKE WAS ACTUALLY HALF DEMON THIS WHOLE TIME.

Why did the author did that again? Because he was lazy- nah I mean he wanted to turn the show in to a Dragon Ball Z rip off where characters become so ridiculously and absurdly strong that they lose any sort of weaknesses or any actual qualities for us to care about them.

It did have a good ending, but it felt empty and meaningless the love between Yusuke and Keiko was completely dropped in the last arc.

There so much more to be said about this show and really the only reason I don't write more about it at this moment is because I feel drained really, but I will probably lose the motivation to actually write anything about it later so.

But really It angers me. It angers me how much more it could of been done in the show. Kuwabara, Yusuke, Hiei and Kurama are such loveable character so much could of been expanded on them.

This show had a such a huge potential but it got destroyed by lazy writting and being confined to Shonen standards.

6/10.
