A labriynth of perspectives
7 June 2021
Although inspired by iconic films in terms of storytelling, the film doesn't turn into a tribute fest to those films. As the title indicates, the film is divided in chapters, each chapter giving a different perspective to an event which we didn't really get to know till the end(or do we?).

I have rarely seen an Indian film with such lucious cinematography, music and non linear narrative. The film unfolds itself graciously in a circular narrative. The performances are memorable, especially Rakshit Shetty himself(director and writer of the film)as Richi. The character drawing inspirations from famous hollywood film gangstars is not a mere carricature of them .Rakshit Shetty has perfected the role of a violent, carefree enforcer of a gangster with an unrestrained perfection.

There is a macguffin in the film too, a mysterious package(in one scene the buyer of the package is written as Marsellus Wallace). A complete film in terms of everything;style, substance and performances .

Although the film is termed as a neo noir but it's not .In some parts the film is neo noirish but as I already said the film is not successful for the inspirations but for it's originality.
