Well, the vault floor was a giant SCALE - and if any motion was detected the room would flood - killing everybody.
Uhhhhhh, ok. So how did they get the 4 treasure chests in the middle of the room?
Maybe our intrepid band of thieves should have just found the OFF switch the bank apparently used to put stuff in there.
This isn't a plot hole - it's a story killing absurdity.
