Where to start? AvP2 (2001) PC is not only the best Alien or Predator game ever, (yes even better than Isolation, and I love that one too). Perfect stories in a new planet with new characters, the writing is unparalleled, better than all the movies, games and comics combined. It is simply the single best entry in the whole series.
All three campaigns make up one gigantic story. The world feels so alive, human conversations as you move through the levels, the computers, data pads and sheets of paper you can read that are rich in lore, each Predator and Alien has unique looks and even sounds/voices, best cheats in any game ever also the details in visuals for atmosphere the Space Jockey ruins, the Weyland-Yutani facilities, the jungles, the Alien hives you name it! It's got everything a hardcore Alien/Predator fan could dream of. All the characters and moments in the game are extremely memorable.
Besides a stellar single player the multiplayer is pure fun, thanks to sites like avpunknown you can still play it online!
I could go for hours on each detail that makes this game my favorite of all-time and my favorite entry from anything AvP, even better than the classic films, and the original Dark Horse AvP comic. Yes it's that good.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of this gem. I hope one day we get a film at least close to its greatness.
