Unneeded, But Fun Sequel To 1999's "Tarzan"
5 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I thought that 2005's "Tarzan II" was a fun little prequel to the original "Tarzan" from 1999 . . . at least it was better than 2002's "Tarzan & Jane", but to be honest this film was better than I thought it would have been with a holding storyline, and fun character. Of course we get a maybe 10 or 11 year old Tarzan who is currently just having the time of his life, but after nearly dying and coming back up to hear his mother (gorilla) saying that she would have died to keep him safe, and the other mother gorillas saying that it's for the better that he's gone, and Tarzan decides to run away (also, Tarzan is afraid of a creature called the "Zugor"). During Tarzan's wandering he meets a small family of three gorillas (a mother and her two sons), one is muscle head . . . the other just seems to be . . . not that smart, but anyhow their mother lets Tarzan go, and Tarzan hears "ZUUUUUUGOOOOOOORRRR" come from out of the jungle, everyone scatters with Tarzan running into the jungle, and into an older gorilla yelling at him that the zugor is near. The guy runs into his little tree and refuses to let Tarzan in. While Tarzan is wandering around the jungle once more, he notices that the same monkey is up in a tree and is holding a horn or something. In the horn he yells "ZUUUUUUGOOORRR" to scare away the animals at the watering hole. The two befriend each other, and throughout the movie their friendship grows, Tarzan eventually meets back up with his pack of gorillas, and well, they'll be in eachother's hearts. Cue Phil Collins.
