Just go along for the ride, don't think too much and you'll enjoy it. The sceneries and visuals are stunning. The plot is obviously quite restrictive as most of it happens on the plane but it does have some intense moments.
You can break it apart with all the technical mistakes or misses but that would only ruin your own watching experience. It's an action thriller, with a fictional story and characters it's not a documentary on how a plane goes down. Some stunts may have been a bit unrealistic and far-fetched and it could've been better in some ways, but then again it is a movie, and not real life.
Some of the dialogues could've been written better, there were some cheesy lines and preditable moments but I think both Alexander and Allison did great given what they had to work with. They had to carry the whole movie within a confined space with not much flexibility to work with and keep the intensity going - the most unlucky couple in history with so many things going wrong, that couldn't have been easy.
I would've liked to see more character development at the start but overall I enjoyed it once I stopped analysing it too much. The shark at the end though, who's idea was that?
