This is one of the most wonderful series I have ever watched. I did not see the first four seasons and bought them through Prime spending almost $100... that's how much I enjoyed the series.
Then, Season five came around and I stopped watching. After a year of Covid, and all the turmoil this nation had gone through, the writers and producers apparently had no consideration for the viewers. The series is already emotional and heart-wrenching, then, you go and add the continued saga of all our current mess this nation is going through and its just too much to take!!!!
Television is suppose to be entertaining... apparently the writers and producers decided that was no longer true and threw all this mess right back in our faces.
What could have been a wonderful continuation of a beautiful family story, some much needed entertainment... after having suffered through staying home, losing family members to Covid, and no jobs... they destroyed that!
I would loved to have seen a more uplifting story considering how bad the year had been.
You have lost us as viewers.
