This show is fun to watch but gets a bit melodramatic at times...may be we have to keep in mind that it was made a long time ago....the character baby is so poorly written...agree she has polio but she is not an invalid...they could have shown her getting independent( atleast get a decent job) as the show goes but they oversympathise with her and all she does is wait for someone to come and marry her..and they make fun of a guy who stutters...dissapointed..
