As most Disney squeals do not meet the same standard as the first, this one also falls short. Tarzen 2 had so much potential to be great, it could have been a really cute film about Tarzan's childhood, growing up and trying to fit into the pack. Don't get me wrong the movie did have a few moments that weren't too bad, but it could have been so much better. Tarzen 2 is a great movie for the kids to sit back and enjoy, but not so much appeal for the adults. The one thing I love about the original Disney animated films is that they take an unrealistic fantasy and make it feel realistic by not making it over the top in a childish manner. Its fun to watch a kid who was raised by apes, to grow up and find love and where he belongs. But in this film its far from realistic to watch a little kid save his entire heard of apes from three gigantic apes. Save his mother from falling and save his best friends all with in the span of two minutes. The hero moment was over done and not heartfelt. I feel like this movie was more for a younger audience then all ages.
