9/10
Morgan Spector is phenomenally good by being real.

Warning: Spoilers
First, the acting is great. Morgan S in particular such a good actor that I always feel like I'm watching the person he's playing, not an actor playing him. It's wonderful to see Wynona Ryder in it - and it's actually scary when she gets cuckoo-mean because she's so lovely and beloved as an actress. It starts out very slowly and like others here, I almost gave up on it, but in Episode 4 it really starts heating up and I then understood why the slow start -- because that's how these things really happen. Something small here, something a tiny bit bigger there ... Very masterfully done. Starting at barely a simmer and raising the heat with every episode. ETA: After finale: Wow. Zoe Kazan really shines in this one (her character is given much more to do, she was always good) and the scenes between major characters are riveting. I'm not sure how I feel about the ending. I tend to get p'd' at ambiguous endings so I have to think about it. I do understand why they did the ending the way they did, though. Still, it was riveting - I think my heart almost stopped a few times during the finale. As for people complaining it's taking jabs at trumpism: The book was written long before he was president.* So if you see similarities, maybe you should ask yourself why.
