This episode felt like an old-school night of The Walking Dead. There was something special about seeing Eugene, Yumiko, and Ezekiel go into the city and discover a potential new friend/foe with 'Princess', it felt very reminscent of the early days of TWD when we still got to see city wide visual effects akin to 28 Days Later. At any rate, reveals were made about Beta's past, which many of us assumed to be the case but having him by a famous singer instead of an actor/basketball player like in the comics, was a nice twist. We got a cool team-up between Negan & Daryl, which I can only hope signals more from them going forward. And we also were able to see Carol go through a final psychological battle with Alpha, giving Samantha Morton a nice send-off which felt more appropriate than her anti-climatic end a few weeks back. All in all, this was a fun episode that checked several necessary boxes to move the story forward.
