'Landfall' Review (2020)

Warning: Spoilers
First of all I Loved 'Landfall' I really did think it was a good decent film its not perfect by all means but It was very engaging and left me wanting more. I personally thought Kristen Condon's (Maisey's Character) was Brilliant and well executed she felt real, it wasn't overplayed or underplayed for that matter and when she spoke It meant something, It felt real and honest. I thought Rob was good as well. Vernon Wells smashed it out of the park with his execution of Wexler. Tony Bonner was good as well, and the guy that played Paul (The Villain aka:- Bad guy) The location was simple but effective. The sound was a bit tinny in some area's but you got used to it, same with the lighting and grade of the film. I personally thought the ending was a tad bit weak in some area's I wish the VFX shot at the end looked better it did look cheesy and maybe should have got someone professional to work on and do it properly. It would of looked so much better. I was waiting for something else to be in the box I wasn't expecting it to be what it was and thought it was a bit weird but like I said all things I viewed and watched quickly and easily got used to it. I kinda wish it was answered more. Same with the idea that the two leading characters were there from the start being a Home Invasion it made sense but yeah felt a little weird with its execution but like I said got used to it fast. I thought the ending was nice with them at the beach and that beautiful shot.

Overall well done to all those involved and I give this film a solid and honest (7/10)

Thanks, Luke (Writer/Producer/Director)
