As others have already said, the movie is very difficult to watch because of its implausibility and the stupid decisions the characters make (especially victim and wife to the psycho, Jules). What did it for me was the scene where psycho Jackie is upstairs killing her neighbor and childhood friend. It was at this point that I said to myself, "Self...if Jules is still sitting there when Jackie comes downstairs instead of trying to make a break for it, we're done." Surprise, surprise. After stabbing the neighbor a hundred times, Jules is indeed just sitting on the couch hyperventilating. I'm a woman of my word, so I turned off the movie with 40 more minutes to go. I gave it a shot, but I have a very low tolerance for stupidity.
