This is by far one of my favorite Samuel L Jackson roles. His voice acting is superb. Afro Samurai he is deathly serious and almost unrecognizable, but then as afros Alter Ego he is the Samuel Jackson that we all know and love. The action sequences in the show are over-the-top awesome and our great. The story line is wonderful and Ron Perlman kills the role of the villain in this series.
When Ron Perlman chops off your Papa's head, you're bound to want revenge and nothing will stand in your way until you get it. That's the compass that this character follows in this series.
Now if we're talking about the movie, all of this awesomeness evaporates and turns into a pile of urine on the ground. Afro Samurai Resurrection takes a piss on the character and dilute him into something that he is not. A villain. Do yourself a favor and just watch the anime and skip out on the movie. It's not worth your time
