Disappointing

Warning: Spoilers
So, Mythbusters with Kids, sounds like a good idea, but it is a shame this fails. Kids can enjoy watching others play around with dangerous stuff, but as a parent I found it worrisome. First episode I saw had a inexperienced 12 year old driver on rims and duct tape tires slaloming at 20 mph - scary. Now, Adam did grab the wheel a few times but makes me wonder what was edited out. Worse was Adam then got behind the wheel and drove on the duct tape tires at 60mph with the kids in the car. Shook my head. Next episode I saw was arrow/lithium battery one. Still not sure what Myths they were trying to bust. Lithium batteries will burn? Lithium batteries will burn in a garbage truck? Yep, burning Lithium batteries will burn. Also, don't think CO2 extinguishers are the best or most useful on Lithium ion battery fire (might want to review your safety procedures). The other myth, the straight arrow or flying straight (not what it was as it kept changing during the show), was made more mythy by adding the arrow shot from The Odyssey. They used a longbow (not used in The Odyssey), a compound bow ( not used in The Odyssey) and a crossbow (not used in The Odyssey). They did discover the Archer's Paradox which had nothing to do with an arrow flying straight. Overall, there was no mythbusting, and no real science to get excited about. The kids don't seem to to do much except talk (though the 16 year old boy cut steal beams and the 12 year old worked math). When it came time to create a rig for the compound bow another adult did it and when lining up the shot Adam and this other adult did the work and the kids just stood there. Disappointing.
