Der Tatortreiniger (2011–2018)
9/10
Finally a creative German production

Warning: Spoilers
"Der Tatortreiniger" tells the story of Heiko Schotte, who cleans up crime scenes and his encounters with the most different people and ideas of life.

The series takes a German working class hero, somewhere inbetween proletic stereotype and understanding/caring guy and confronts him with people whose ideas of life are quite different from his own. Through clever dialogues and the brilliant acting of Mädel, comedy develops from this simple confrontation that is both disarming in its honesty and its understanding for the depicted characters. It shows the weaknesses of any ideology through a lead character that is anything but the typical role model himself. I really enjoyed every single episode of the show and something will be missing now that it is finished.

All in all this finally is a glance of hope and creativity in the German tv-series sector. It is both simple and amazing in its very own way.
