This is why I have a hard time watching cable and Netflix shows. There are very few episodes each season which makes it even more irritating when they waste one. I did not need to see a complete backstory on one of the least interesting characters. I'm barely a fan of backstories on the best characters when you have so few episodes. They gave Clare the same story they give all these spy types. She was a good person who was forced to do bad things. I could have guessed that without a 40 minute explanation. Any time you only have about three minutes of the main character being onscreen in an episode there is a problem. I wish they would stop making these cable shows so good, so I can stop only having it for about ten episodes then having to wait close to a year to see it again. I wouldn't be so mad if they were wasting one out of like twenty-four episodes. Knowing more about the characters might even be a welcome addition even though Clare's story would probably still bore me since it's used so much. I'm giving it four stars for about the four minutes of the episode that actually interested me. That's how great the overall show Counterpart is.
