When I first saw this show and the episode, I was like nah, but it turned out to be a good episode (ep.1). Javier helps Letty by all means, and he should just let her go considering she is nothing but trouble and troubled. I really do think the both of them balance each other out, since they both have childhood issues. I think hers causes him to getting caught, and hers stems from flashback from drug usage. He can help her because he is the "strong" one and she needs that, along with balance. She is trying to make it in the world having a "normal life", and he is the fuel to her desire to be bad, like him. She is very street smart - thanks to her grandma, and so is he since he left home at 16. I really think this show is going to be a big hit. Let's hope for season 3.
