I saw Kevin Hart in one movie, "Ride Along." Boooooo. To be fair, it may have been Ice Cube's fault but when Kevin starts blabbering and ranting aimlessly it is not funny to me.
On to "The Wedding Ringer." Very funny. Kevin Hart was funny as was Josh Gad, but part of the reason I think it was funny is that it had a purpose. The jokes and even physical humor were woven into the script nicely and made sense. They weren't just an effort to showcase Kevin Hart's comedic ability.
They delivered some very solid jokes while trying to prepare Doug Harris (Josh Gad) to get married. And it didn't fall into the sappy love story that romantic comedies fall into. For that I give them extra props.
