What a dreadful story line Deirdre's return is and wading right in and wanted to be Ben's mum. Joe is too rigid and strict and Dermot is too lenient about letting Deirdre see him. He is letting her into their home. Who does that? To make matter worse so much of it is played out within earshot of the children themselves. Zoe in particular is very sharp at listening in and finding out what is happening. Not to talk about the fact that Dermot is getting Ben to lie as well as himself. what kind of an example is that to give to young impressionable children. On top of all that you have Deirdre's appalling acting. Anyone could do as good as her. Where does Fair City get these z -rating actors. Farrah is another actress who can't act.
