Woody Allen, light version.
6 October 2014
I kind of enjoyed this film, it was light entertainment. Since plot was a real fluff let me concentrate on costumes, sets and acting. Costimography was excellent. Portrayal of 1920s was beautiful with all the suits, cars, music and dancing of those times. Sets were nice, I especially liked the scene where they were dancing foxtrot. I have not seen such a scene in ages. Acting was different from actor to actor. I liked Mr. Firth*s acting, other actors were a little bit behind. Also they found beautiful scenery of the French riviera, which played nicely into the film.

All in all if you like Woody Allen, this is a film for you, otherwise you can watch it for light entertainment.

Mr. Allen matured in his film making over many years. From his early New York "crazy" films he matured into lover of France and good life it offers. How nice!
