Gritty and a new-James Bond dark mood series. Very spell binding in the plots and filming. The characters all give a good account of themselves in very dour but solid performances. The filming is in the old 1940s film-noir style -but in full dark dramatic colour. The light and shadows are nicely played with in enhancing the overall brooding drama and atmosphere. The dialogue is sparse but still brings forth a flowing and well-told story. I'm disappointed that IMDb staff has put Ms.Thandie Newton second in the cast list. It makes one wonder why they made that bizarre selection when Thandie is THE superstar of the show. She deserves to be respected as the driving central element in this riveting show.
