I guess there was a great research job on this movie made for TV. I checked for some confirmation just after the watching. All seems accurate, as far as the historians say. Jane Alexander is quite terrific, as the lead role. A very poignant tale, where I almost wanted to yell to the character, about the face to face between Clamity and her daughter, a Young woman who doesn't know the truth; I wanted to howl: "But tell her who she really is!!!" It's terrific in a novel or a movie, when the audience knows a very important thing that a character does not. That's unique, far better than the usual enigma, such Who the KIller is...
