"Extracted" is far from perfect. You can tell it's a low-budget film. Not so much because of the look and the acting. The film looks decent, and the acting is above par. But, you can tell this was made by a small group of people. You can count the "extras" on two hands, and there's a pretty large issue with the "value" placed upon the device that the plot centers around.

Otherwise, the film has a great plot that moves at a beautiful pace. Good ideas are often followed by even better ideas that advance the plot quite quickly and effectively. The two leads look and act the part of two very different men who need each others' help.

You might like this(or also check-out):"Primer"(above even), or "Shuffle"(a bit better). VERY similar to those films in terms of budget and storyline. I like all three of them.

69/100 Easy for me to say in hind-site they squandered a few great extended ending ideas and cut things off a bit short, but perhaps that too is a bi-product of the budget-constraints. You too will see this - but it doesn't take away from a great effort from all involved.

Recommended, though not as good as some of the reviews you might have read. Certainly better than most of the new release, bigger-budget options in the Redbox.
