Bradin (Jesse McCartney), Nikki (Kay Panabaker) and Derrick Westerly (Nick Benson) are recently orphaned siblings from Kansas. Their parents were killed in a car accident and they have to move in with their aunt Ava Gregory (Lori Loughlin) in California. Ava lives with her 3 friends who are all equally unprepared to take on the kids.
This was definitely Lori Loughlin's show. She's not only the star, but the creator and producer. The kids are good actors. She has Taylor Cole and Zac Efron with recurring roles. Lori was probably not as lucky with the writers. The show had an interesting concept, and lots of possibilities. But the writing really couldn't keep up. It became little more than a sad soap. It's two seasons and out.
