In my opinion something's really wrong with modern horror movie genre in general. Too many shabby attempts has been seen in this day and age. What happened to the passion of film-making in general? Has everything been ruined by big money or have the real makers already retired? Seven million is awful a lot of money even for a film so it's such a surprise that it doesn't show in this movie. I wonder how the filmmakers got it all together in the past with much less money to be used and produced films that are superior to anything like this.
It's such a shame that Coppola couldn't pull this movie together and it ends up looking like a hastily filmed horror TV-series with very cheap special effects. The story itself is also very worn out.
It's hard to recommend this to anyone but some may just watch it just to see an example of how many things can go wrong in a film.
