This is a authentic direct Nazi propaganda film so direct that it's turns into a war story on their side ,in the past.It's very much anti democracy. It's also anti Australian and anti English language and for a couple of seconds anti good acting.The fact that Charlotte Daudert,as Evelyn kills the English language when she attempts to speak it , to portray an Aussie that don't know German but only a few words ,like me,she forget her acting skills that she does in German and starts reading line instead.The same thing happens to actor Rolf Mobius as Paul,when he attempt's to portray English language not only it isn't smooth but he forgets to act ,at the moment and only starts reading lines.They both get back to normal when they speak German.This is Rudi Goden,as Charlie, stalwart German comedian actors second propaganda film.Now this movie will offend sneaky communist and sneaky conservatives, cause they are trying to hide their biases and those who feel that speech will cause the Nazis to rise up from the grave.This movie is suppose to be some what of a comedy,an undemocratic equivalent to Martin and Lewis, at war with the army.But it is less funny,It doesn't become too serious until the end ,where you see a montage of warmongering from the Nazi Army.The second female interest are Carsta Lock as Lottie the waitress of a Restaurant in Germany.Hilde Schneider as Trudie who sells chickens to the restaurant.Rolph eventually falls in love with Trudie cause unlike Evelyn , who believes in having a good time all the time, Charlotte seems to play those roles, Trudie is practical .She believe in work and no play .This was the Nazi definitions of a wife.As When Ralph turns against democracy through his officers Nazi army training and when Trudy is visiting, their English causes their acting to turn into reading lines.You are not convinced of their performance when Rolf breaks off the engagement to Evelyn.The plot concerns too Aussie Germans going to join the German Nazi Army.Rolph and Charlie Their father feel that they have become lazy and pleasure seeking.So they go on board of the Hamburg U,s ship for Germany.The fellow trainees in the military are critical of them in the Nazi army cause they are from Australia.Thre's not one of the Aussi characters hum or sing Waltzing Matilda nor does Charlotte say the traditional way of greeting in Aussie ,"good Daay,"! It's poor American,"good Bouy"! this is the only time that the acting is poor when they are trying to speak English. There is an anti Aussie sequence. During a celebration party with the officers at the restaurant,Charlie put on a act where hes' fighting a kangaroo,played by one of the soldiers, to pull his tail out. gussies are also put down as horse lovers.When Rudi shows an officer that it's natural for an Aussie to do tricks with a horse.Well they end up going to war . and eventually loose ,thank goodness.This is a bad print.The original print is owned by the Buchincave archive .I think.It a governmental archive and they are strict about who can distribute a copy of the original elements out of fear the distributors might be exploiting it for hate.You see Germany does not have the first amendment .Like we do.Available at www.Reichskino,con and German Warfilms.com 02/26/12
