This is a feature-length making-of documentary on the DVD of The Fountain about said movie, and really the only thing like it on the disc. It consists of interviews, clips of the film and behind-the-scenes footage, split into 7 parts(coming in at 8, 10, 13 and a half, 10, 7 15 and 13 minutes, respectively, and with some dedicated to going over specific ones of the different time periods that this spans), the very last of them is a philosophical discussion between Jackman and Weisz, and I'd call it by far the most interesting thing in the entire 64 minute running time. There is some explaining of how they did things and why, the approach they took(including that one rather disturbing image from it), but mostly, it's just someone with a camera shooting what they did, and it's edited together fine. Not everyone can make it compelling viewing to see others essentially doing their job, even when they get to play with FX, props and Wolverine. With the mediocre quality of the one on the Requiem for a Dream disc, I have to wonder why Aronofsky's work keeps getting this treatment. It's smarter and deserves productions debating it to be more refined than these. I recommend this to people who love the picture itself. 6/10
