exposes the hypocrisy of communists

Warning: Spoilers
The movie has great cinematography and acting and a lot of other things but its strongest point in my view is the criticism of all west-based communists that lived in the west and venerated the virtues of the east, consciously or unconsciously ignoring reality. She loves East Germany but lives in Munich and buys her clothes at Dior. The movie criticizes the belief (central in many communists) that something (in this case communism) is good for others and society although I don't choose it for myself. From another perspective it is a movie about people who refute reality by creating their own world. Sooner or later reality catches up with them.
