One of the most over-hyped and overrated movies! The concept of 'gandhigiri' is interesting but the way it's used in this melodramatic, boring, inconsistent and lackluster film is childish. The performances are unimpressive and the toning and cutting down of Circuit is a crime. He was the best thing in the first movie and here he is wasted. Sanjay Dutt reprises his role and brings nothing new. Pretty much the same cast of the first film is repeated with the exception of Gracy Singh who has been replaced by the two beauties of 'Parineeta' (both of whom fail to deliver and Balan's 'Goooood Moooooorrrrning' is mind-numbing). Boman Irani is annoying, again. The soundtrack is forgettable and cinematography is drab. Hirani's direction lacks flow and skill. It's almost as if a hack like David Dhawan made the film. Someone needs to tell the director that merely having a good message is not enough to make a good film. Given that, this movie had potential to be great but alas! Even Gandhi is portrayed as a pathetic caricature. Moreover some heavy editing was required because of the dragging pace. The Sanjay Dutt- Vidya Balan romantic track is unconvincing. This is one of the most boring films of 2006.
