6/10
falls short
31 December 2008
after much hesitation i finally gave in to watch this movie after a friend recommended. and as history has repeatedly taught you that 9 out of 10 times things don't live up to the expectations or hype. khosla ka ghosla was a simple movie but brilliant at the same time. its freshness and simplicity was its usp. when the promo's of oye lucky hit the small screen, i was anxious to see the flick. and since now i have seen it i feel very disappointed, for 3 reasons. one that i probably may have over-hyped it before its release, two i delayed in watching the movie and third the movie itself. it lacked freshness in all departments. it had nothing new to give. yes there were some parts in the movie that were shot beautifully but not strong enough to leave an impact after the final credits roll over. abhay deol's performance was commendable. the rest including paresh rawal were satisfactory. gave it a 6/10. is it worth watching once - i would say "no".
