Great Episode, But I Hate It When They Leave You Hanging
1 December 2008
Warning: Spoilers
With about five minutes to go, I was thinking "Boy, I'm glad CSI-New York doesn't do what CSI-Miami likes to do, meaning leave you hanging for months waiting for the next season to see what happens." Wrong.

They did it, too. At the end, it appears our fearless leader "Mac Taylor" (Gary Sinise) is in big trouble. In the last 10-15 seconds, we are delivered with a shocking twist. I admit; I didn't see it coming. I won't say anything more in case someone is reading this and plans on getting the CSI-NY Fourth Season DVD. That's how I watched this, so I have a full year to wait to find out what happened, unless I cheat and look it up on IMDb or elsewhere.

Whatever, I will say this season-ending episode was outstanding. Of course, when you get a top-rate film actor like Elias Koteas in the guest-starring role, it helps. Koteas plays "Joe/Douglas," a very interesting guy who is holding hostages inside a bank and "employs" Mac to come in and prove that he did not shoot the dead man lying in the vault. All sorts of complications ensue and then some neat twists at the end involving "Joe."

This is one of the best episodes of the season, maybe the best.
