Review of Film School

Film School (2004)
7/10
Decent, worth renting before you apply to Film School

This series is a great prep for film school, but lacks overall entertainment value by itself. The cast is somewhat interesting, though they seem to be represented in strictly caricature form. Really what this series breaks down to is a series of valuable lessons about the process of making a student film, and the importance of a good relationship between the crew, the actors, and the key specialists on the project.

* Take note of Leah and her GINORMOUS ego... this is a great example of how NOT to act as a director. Great lesson to learn about keeping your own importance as director in check.
