the story with romantic side turns into a nightmare

I was expecting from a director of Coppola's stature a little bit more attention to the detail and well spent money in traveling to the "real" places of the movie. Too bad.. this could have been Mircea Eliade's great film. In an era of digitalizing this is over digitalized movie which can spoil things... Sadly the make up it's not that bright too, the actors are good and roles well played especially Alexandra Maria Lara. Mircea Eliade's work is worth all the effort a director can get. I hope this is not the future of the movies made by Coppola. Good thou that Romanian writers are stepping up to the big screen, more I hope will follow. Reading the book might be a good choice.
