Unexpected!
12 May 2007
For a ardent fan of English films, I was arm twisted into watching this film and came out absolutely enthralled. It was totally unexpected and the plot, script, acting etc was absolutely superb not the kind I would expect from a Hindi Film. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew in producing this excellent film. I am in agreement with the comments made before me from other critics. I am not a huge fan of Indian films and went for this one expecting to be bored and uninterested in the movie. However I must say that this was and exemplary performance and I would recommend everyone to watch the film. The film depicts the typical Indian culture especially the phone conversations, greetings exchanged when one enters a home, anger expressed in an Indian manner and so forth. It does portray a typical Indian yuppie middle class household, where the husband and wife have established their individuality and are independent in their own right, a phenomenon that is emerging especially in the major cities of India. Its a must see film....short and sweet.
