Warning: Spoilers
Poor Donald. As a child, his mom held his arms over open flames to "burn the evil out" of him. Now he's all grown up and working at the local incinerator - but he's still under Mama's thumb.

Donald comes home from work one day to find Mama dead. At last, he's free to play bad disco music really loud and jump on the furniture. Soon, he buys a flamethrower and an asbestos suit & starts stalking women to bring 'em home & burn 'em alive in the fireproof spare room. Can Bob (his only friend) and the local police stop Donald from killing again? If you want to cry "misogyny" about any horror film, this is the one. The agonizing murder of Donald's first victim is excruciating to watch. He also has a few scenes berating the charred corpses in the sitting room.

DGitH isn't a great movie, but it's a sick classic that's oddly compelling. Dan Grimaldi's lack of acting talent actually enhances his performance and almost gives a documentary quality to the events. The music is especially awful - but appropriate. Things get weird with a supernatural twist, but dead Mom is sure creepy. Recommended.
